A Body & Cab (often written “cab and chassis”) refers to a vehicle configuration where the manufacturer provides the front part of the vehicle—the cab (driver area) and the chassis frame—without a finished rear body. The cab includes the seats, dashboard, steering wheel, and controls, while the chassis is the structural frame that supports the vehicle. This setup allows businesses or upfitters to add a custom rear body, such as a cargo box, flatbed, or specialized equipment. It’s commonly used in commercial vehicles like trucks to match specific work needs.
